A super-catamaran.

In 1996 we had a discussion on Yacht-L about the dangers of large
fast boats like this one. Its speed is over 40 knots and can take 1500
passengers on a single trip. This is the new ferry-boat, which started
June 1, 1997, its service between The Netherlands and England. It tries
to compete with the tunnel traffic between France and England. Two more
are being build right now. The idea is that there are many more and even
faster boats like this one to come, since they are lot cheaper in personel,
faster and safer than the classic ferry-boats.
