Yacht-L is a virtual yacht club and a discussion list about sailing, yachting, cruising, racing, sail trimming, boat maintenance, rigging, stories about sailing, sail history sometimes, boat building and repair (although that subject is less popular than the subjects mentioned before this one) etcetera. Actually any subject having to do with sailing, the boat, the sailing areas, the pleasures of sailing and being in, on, around and busy with your boat, or the boat you are going to buy or are longing for. This page is maintained by one of the two co-owners of Yacht-L,
Eppo R. Kooi. The other co-owner of Yacht-L is Jim Bradley. You will find
our email-addresses at the bottom of this page.
The co-owners are both active sailors of which you will find some evidence on the
Yacht-L owners page.
There is also a page with the picture of temporary
interest. It will be replaced after some time by another picture. At
the moment you can see some information and pictures of the huge new sloop-rigged sailing yacht of Jim Clark, the founder and president of Netscape.
The Yacht-L WWW-archives of all messages sent to Yacht-L since Sept. 1993. Included are powerful search facilities to find specific information contained in the messages.
The Yacht-L files are contributions of Yacht-L members/subscribers about NMEA, medical care on board and at sea, weather-fax data, yacht design, battery basics, charging and discharging, URL's of Y-L related WWW-, gopher and FTP-sites, several articles about aspect ratios and capsizing, requirements for a dreamboat, etc. Clicking the link to the Yacht-L files will give you more detailed information about the files and direct links to the individual files.
